Fall into Wine – Science & Art in Every Glass

Learn from the experts at Lake Michigan Vintners about their program providing hands-on education for students in the Wine & Viticulture Technology Program at Lake Michigan College.

Experience a punch down (aprons optional!), tour the facility, and enjoy a wine flight while you munch on tasty appetizers from CK Catering (included in fee).

Tim Godfrey, Director – Wine & Viticulture Technology at Lake Michigan College Tim has been involved in the wine and cider making industries for over ten years, in both Michigan and Sonoma County, California.

A graduate of GVSU’s Cell and Molecular Biology Program, Tim’s formal wine education was forged through UC Davis, and put to work at startups and well-renowned wineries alike.

His philosophy toward wine-making starts in the vineyard: Clean viticultural practices yield the highest quality fruit, and the winemaker just needs to be sure not to mess it up. When Tim’s not in the winery, he’s probably cycling, skiing, or hanging with his wife and dog.
